**- How to protect yourself from crypto phishing schemes?**
A crypto phishing scheme is a way hackers get into your account to get stolen information and also steal your crypto assets. As the name implies crypto phishing scheme, it means it is a scheme for the crypto with the main aim of bridging your security and stealing from you.
Your details can be stolen your assets can be stolen and many more. In all what those who carry out this act wish to achieve is just the asset in your wallet or exchange.
In Steemit, I have heard of a phishing link where we are advised not to click because once you click you may be asked to input details and cash out some funds, and that way they will get access to your account.

To protect oneself from crypto phishing all you need to do is to avoid sources that are not trustworthy and also do not open or click on links that are from unknown sources.
If an email is sent to you and you don't know the source or trust the source just delete it if you are on Steemit you see a link that is not from a user that is trusted don't also click on it in that way you have protected yourself from every harm that may come your way.
You can also increase the level of your security such that before a transaction is done in any of your crypto wallets, you must pass through 2-3 verification processes such as email, phone, and fingerprint.
**- Have to become a victim of any crypto phishing scheme?**
No, I have never been a victim of this before. However, in another aspect that is not crypto, I have fallen victim and that taught me a lesson. A few months ago I saw a link on my Facebook wall, I clicked and it required me to input some details which I did and within split seconds, I couldn't have access to my account again.

After a while I saw that the ownership had changed completely, my pictures were removed and new pictures were uploaded. That was when I found out that the link I clicked was a phishing link.
So I have since then been very careful when it comes to clicking links that I do not trust especially here on Steemit because the rules, not your keys, not your assets still ring in my mind.
