I just discovered this exciting project called Avail, founded by former Polygon co-founders Anurag Arjun and Mihailo Bjelic in late 2020. It's a modular blockchain project that's set to shake up the blockchain world by addressing some of its biggest limitations.
Avail offers a versatile platform for trust-minimized applications and sovereign roll-ups, featuring a secure and scalable data availability layer with customizable consensus. This makes it a key player in the modular blockchain space.
What's really cool about Avail is its Unification Layer, which includes Avail DA, Nexus, and Fusion. This trio tackles blockchain scalability, interoperability, and security issues head-on. Avail's DA (Data Availability) solution is particularly impressive with its low-cost, expandable blobspace, enabling numerous rollups and supporting both application-specific and general-purpose Dapps. It's a cost-effective alternative to Ethereum for data storage, offering opt-in data availability services for rollup networks.
Avail has been making waves with its funding rounds, raising $43 million in June 2024 and $27 million in February 2023. These funds are dedicated to developing their core products: DA, Nexus, and Fusion, which they call the "Trinity." The project spun out of Polygon in March 2023, marking the start of its independent journey.
I'm really excited to see how Avail continues to innovate and set new standards in the blockchain space. Anyone else following this project? Pre-trade it on Bitget before listing and stay ahead of the market!
