Loneliness
Melis was filled with excitement about starting at the new school in the town they had just moved to. However, on her first day, as she walked through the school corridors, she faced the reality that everyone seemed to know each other and she was the outsider. When she entered her classroom and sat down, she noticed the other children chatting among themselves, but no one even looked her way.
As days passed, Melis's loneliness grew. During recess, she would wander around the yard alone. One day, in math class, the teacher assigned a group project. Not knowing who to team up with, Melis shyly waited in the corner. The other children quickly formed their groups, and once again, Melis was left alone.
The teacher noticed and tried to help by assigning her to a group. However, her group members had difficulty accepting her and barely spoke to her. Although Melis was deeply saddened by this, she tried not to show it.
One day, when Melis returned home from school, her mother noticed the sadness on her face and asked what was wrong. Melis couldn't hold back her tears and told her mother everything. Her mother comforted her and assured her that things would get better over time.
Encouraged by her mother’s support, Melis gathered her courage and asked to speak in class the next day. She introduced herself and expressed her desire to make new friends. This brave step caught her classmates' attention, and their attitudes towards her began to change.
Gradually, a few students started talking to her, and over time, Melis made new friends. She still felt lonely at times, but now she had friends who understood and supported her. This challenging experience taught Melis to be strong and never to give up.
