Getting started with crypto is actually a huge and risky decision. Believe it or not, some people out there are scared of getting involved in cryptocurrency. I once read a post about a lady who was put off upon realizing steemit deals with cryptocurrency.
I would not blame her though, there have been tons of stories about people losing almost all their life asset to crypto.
At the same time, some others are making fortunes from it.
I would not blame them for carelessness! There have been instances were someone might just be sleeping and the value of his wallet's asset would be crashing down.
Who's to blame?
Nevertheless, there could be some times these lose can be avoided. Not a crypto pro, but getting scammed out of your investment is a way to lose it all when research is not done properly. We can't always be sure of who is who that is why it has always been adviseable to carry out your own research on that currency you're about to invest in and through what platform. We can't always trust everybody.
One can also lose security of their wallet through random link clicks. This is where hacking comes in. Like ‘what on earth just happened?’. You simply just clicked on a link them boom! It's all gone. That can be quite painful though, which is why one should try all possible best to have their wallet or exchange well secured.
