I was reminiscing today thinking about my bitcoin mining days. I started in mid 2014. First I had a Butterfly Labs 90 GH/s Bitcoin miner, then it became almost useless, so I upgraded to a Visionman 200 GH/s. It finally burnt up and I bought 2 Rockminer T-1 and had about 2 TH/s! I ended up mining about 3.5 Bitcoins total from June 2014 until July 2015, just over a year!
I tried today and my credentials to the mining pool still works! I can see all of my history and rewards. I was getting .05 BTC every 3-5 days! That's just over $3100.00 today! I These machines put off an extreme amount of heat and I was forced to turn them off in the summer and they then, so I thought, became obsolete, meaning the electric bill was costing more than I was making. I should have kept them going!
Hindsight is always 20/20, but I so wish I could go back and talk to myself then! Anyways, I'm not really involved in crypto currently, but I have been feeling the mining bug lately. Anyone have an insight on a good coin to mine?
