Today I was reading X and I found the following image:
This chart tells a very clear story: public companies are buying Bitcoin like cazy!!
You can see how the bars in the last few quarters just explode higher. From only a few thousand BTC per quarter in 2023 to over 190,000 BTC in Q3 2025. That is a massive change in behavior. It means that Bitcoin is no longer just something for small investors or tech people. Now, big institutions are moving in and they are doing it fast.
In 2023, the numbers were small. Companies were still cautious, maybe watching what happens with regulation, ETFs, and price movements. But when you look at 2024, something shifts completely. The last quarter of 2024 shows a jump to more than 230,000 BTC added by public companies. That is when everything changed. The narrative moved from “should we buy Bitcoin?” to “how fast can we accumulate before others do?”
After that, in 2025, the pace continues strong. Every quarter is over 100,000 BTC added. That shows conviction. These companies are not speculating; they are allocating. They understand Bitcoin’s long-term value, its scarcity, and its growing role as digital reserve asset. They know that as more institutions and countries join, the available supply on the market keeps getting smaller.
This kind of accumulation is important because it changes the structure of the market. Once public companies put Bitcoin in their balance sheets, they are not selling it quickly. That Bitcoin is basically taken off the market. And when you combine that with upcoming halvings, the supply pressure becomes even stronger.
What this chart really shows is the start of a new phase. Institutional adoption is no longer a theory; it is visible in the numbers. The same way companies started holding gold decades ago, now they are doing it with Bitcoin. Each orange bar represents a transfer of power from fiat systems to a new monetary standard.
The question now is not if more companies will buy Bitcoin, but how many quarters until they all do!!
I hope you have a great end of the week.
