Digital  Currency:
Digital currency is a new technology where a country's cash is stored in an electronic system and used electronically. It can be used as an electronic token or on other electronic platforms.
Crypto Currencies:
Cryptocurrency is a type of digital currency.  This currency is not produced or issued by any government or state.  Mining has to be done through these different hardwares connected to the internet. It is controlled through blockchain.

The difference between digital currency and cryptocurrency is:
  Cryptocurrencies and digital currencies can be traded for each other as there is no loss in their value.
As digital currencies are centralized, they are controlled by banks and government authorities and their transactions are monitored. But cryptocurrencies are decentralized and controlled by the group that governs them.  Unlike digital currencies, cryptocurrencies are controlled through blockchain, making all transactions transparent.  Digital currencies, on the other hand, are private and transaction-based information and all money transfers are confidential.
