There is a dilemma in fiat currencies when there is no checks on spending.
They can spend as much as your money as they want with very little say on your part.
This is usually what happens with fiat currencies and always ends badly.

This spending eventually leads to printing as they spend more than they take in and the printing leads to devaluation and eventually a loss of confidence in the currency and a death spiral.
End result is worthless paper.
Bitcoin fixes this.
