Hi friends! how are you doing? Welcome to my blog, it's super good to be back in your faces too. I trust you got value from my last post. I bring to you another value packed content one that I believe you would find interesting as usual. In my last post, we explored the concept "Capitulation ", you can check out my blog to read through if you haven't.
Today, we would be looking at **Community Takeover** in the crypto world... it's actually another topic I stumble upon but then it caught my interest, I had to take a deeper look to see what it's about and of course I was able to gather the things am about to share about this concept.
**Introduction**
---------
I have come to discover that even in unpleasant situations, there could just be some kind of hidden blessing lurking around it. Our topic today seems to expantiate more on what I just said. Developers start project for diverse reasons some for the good and benefits of all while some other venture into creating a project for their selfish interest.
It's funny how that any Tom,Dick and Harry can create a token and market it such that it begins to attract investors from all sphere but not all these people have good intentions. Something is common to all crypto project developer, they build a community of folks who believes in the project, these are the same people who invest and also help promote the project hoping it succeed massively.
But sometimes the unexpected happens to these folks in the community, they just wake up one day to realize that they have been robbed by these so called project owners, who by this time must have gone with their money by dumping the token on the investors.
**What is CTO**
----------
Community Takeover is a situation where project creators or developers abandon or exit a project for different reasons and then the community which they have built takes over the administration of the project to continue it. This occurrence is common among meme token and other smaller token that haven't been grounded.

It takes a lot to keep a project running especially when it in infancy stage but thank God for community support in time when there is a dubious exit of project creator leading to abandonment of a project. A natural death would have occurred but a well meaning community of people who still believe in it would rally round it to see it work.
I know at this point you're wondering how this is possible with a community of people with different race, background and culture...like how are they going to make this work. Smiles.
Well they organize themselves through social media, platform which of course everyone has access to and then table the matter on way forward.
Right there, they set up a new structure and leadership who would be at the fore front, piloting the project.
I read in one of the references I used for this post that the really owners of BILLY a meme token abandoned it leaving community members in shock and confusion but then they were able to rally round the project to continue it with a new set of leadership structure and administration.
**Reason for a CTO**
----------
Community folks take over project based on different reasons, I think it's important to mention that scam or rug pull is not the a only reason why projects creators abandon a project. Let's gets to see some common reasons.
• **Scams/Rug pull:** Here is the most commonest reason why community takes over a project. The real owners of the project dash out with investors money after realizing a tangible amount of money from it.
Do not forget I mentioned that this occurs mostly with project that are just surfacing. So when this happens, community member who still thinks the project can work then picks it up.

----------
• **Discouragement/Demotivation:**
Some of these guys get demotivated and discourage at some point, not able to move the project forward anymore. In this case they are well meaning but then they might not just be getting the hype and cheers needed to keep going and as such, they decided to drop it and focus on other important stuffs.
At this point, the unexpected then happen, the community base they've build who by now believes more in the project that the owner, the decides to take it up. What a blessing in disguise.
• **Disagreement:** Disagreement between project owners could lead to the project being abandoned and later picked up by community members. Disagreement is bound to happen among people, there must surely be a time where others might not be interested in where you're heading and vice versal.
When this happens, there have to be a resolution to split or just end the whole thing especially when each and every one of the member is important to the project's advancement. So in the event of failure, community member who feel good about the project can take it up and continue with it
**Bottom Line**
---------
I believe by now we understand what Community Takeover is and it significant impact in the crypto. I trust you've gotten so much from this piece. As my usual custom is, I would always encourage that you DYOR to be sure of every financial step you would want to take as I won't be liable for any form of loss encountered by you.
