The Shifting Sands of Crypto: Centralization vs. Decentralization

Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well!

As a beginner and student in the crypto space, most things are still new to me. Unlike others, I’m often struck by how late I am to the game—still grasping the basics while people around me discuss things like seasoned intellectuals. It’s fascinating to be surrounded by such deep knowledge.

Lately, the news cycle seems obsessed with Bitcoin: What’s the next big thing? When will we hit $200K? And while I don’t own even a fraction of a Bitcoin (not even in bits , though technically Bitcoin can be divided that way), I’m captivated by how the market operates.

What intrigues me most is the shift from decentralization back toward centralization. Institutions now hold the majority of Bitcoin, while truly decentralized coins struggle to survive. Maybe I’m being poetic, but that’s how I see it right now.

After losing all my crypto in the bull run, I’m both awed and puzzled by Bitcoin’s dominance. Other coins, tokens, and projects—not all, but most—aren’t performing nearly as phenomenally.
