When you look at the world we live in today compared to the world in which Bitcoin was created we can see things have almost now gone full circle. While yes bitcoin is still decently decentralized it's promise of being a fully decentralized blockchain and one that provides low fee transactions around the world for all and permissionless with security and anonymity behind it have almost all vanished.
Since then there have been countless blockchains of which most are run like a business with figureheads, application development sponsored by the core company and more. We also have ETFs and other main stream investing into these assets which really shouldn't even be in place compared to what Bitcoin was originally created for.
So now the question comes what's next? What's the next big thing?
To me it's going to be a new blockchain that has yet to be invented where there's no single entity and no one knows who the creator is. It's a blockchain like bitcoin but one in which takes the lessons of bitcoin and makes it better. Different block mining maybe slow at first then faster and then back to slow, better security, better decentralization where people with CPUs and GPUs around the world can take part and make it worth their wild and so forth.
I'm not sure when that day will come but it needs to come and it needs to happen in order to set this crypto world back on track to what gave it real power in the first place. Perhaps some major crash or event needs to happen once again to birth it like how bitcoin was birthed from the 2009 recessions and bank bailout which was the start of screwing over the general population.
What are you thoughts?
