It feels like google has got a little lazy in their days at being at the top of the world. But without competition it can often leave a company open later to be taken over by an all new tech as the company either gets set in it's ways and don't adapt or simply get lazy from being at the top for so long.
Reports are now coming out that Meta is now working on it's own search engine. But this search engine will be powered by AI. and I'd have to say I often find myself using AI like chatgpt more and more if I can't find a good youtube video or I don't want to search through countless old articles that are missing parts and try and put it all together. So AI can greatly help speed things up.
So far it seems like the Meta AI will do things like quickly provide recipes, use images for image search such as how to create what is shown in the picture and so forth which can be very helpful.
Now the primary issue with these services at the moment is that the recipe was created and post on another site. However it seems like AI simply strips this content and gives no credit to the person who created it. This personally I believe is a huge issue as people will stop wasting their time creating new content and helpful videos and articles because AI simply strips it out and provides it back to the user in a prompt while the person has no idea who originally created that content because trust me AI is not creating it!
What are you thoughts on AI searches like this?
